C Language 


Introduction: - C Programming is a general purpose computer programming language which is developed by Dennis M. Ritchie in 1972 at the Bell Telephone Laboratories to develop the UNIX operating system.
It is most widely used programming language. C language is much important for computer students and working professionals especially when they work in Software development area. The main advantages of C language are:

            1.         It is easy to learn.

2.     It produces efficient programs

3.     It can handle low-level activities

4.     It can be compiled on a variety of computer platforms


Facts about C language:-

1.     C was invented to write UNIX operating system.

2.     C Improve version of B language which introduced in about 1970s.

3.     The UNIX OS is totally written in C language.

4.     Today's most popular Linux OS and RDBMS MySQL have been written in C.


Application of C programming language:-

C was initially used for system development purpose, particularly the programs that’s make the operating system. Was adopted as a system development language because it produces code that runs nearly as fast as the code written in assembly language.

2.     Language compilers

3.     Text editors

4.     Data base

5.     Utilities
